‘Politically motivated’ harassment condemned

Rajouri: While welcoming the anticorruption derive launched by JK Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Peer Panjal Watch, a non governmental Organisation working for transparency and justice in the border region Rajouri and Poonch have also expressed its concern over some of the cases where the officers were targeted at the behest of some politicians.
The NGO said that some of the officers who are known for their dedication and honesty in the society were targeted for their denial to do wrongs wished by some of the politicians.
Addressing the gathering in a seminar organized by the “Peer Panjal Watch” on the topic corruption, convener of the organization
A R Khan a noted education of the state said that as per the investigations conducted by their organization some people were victimized for not bowing before the will of the politicians. Referring an example of Mohd Yousif Gilkar, Khan said the former custodian Jammu was victimized only due to his refusal in making some wrong entries in the custodian records Jammu.
The five hour long seminar ended with the unanimous resolution passed by the NGO urging the Chief Minister to continue his campaign against the corrupt system . Others, who spoke on the occasion were Ragesh Gupta , Raju Gupta , Shabir Hussain Jaffri and Prof .Waqar Ahmed
