‘Government school denies admission on less marks’
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Dec 11: A family of Khanyar Friday alleged that the Government Higher Secondary School of the area had denied admission to its ward in 9th standard for reasons of having obtained less marks in the qualifying examination.
The complainant accused the authorities of “playing with the career of the student.”
Although the school principal couldn’t be contacted for comment, the Chief Education Officer, Malik Ghulam Hasan, said there could be “some confusion”.
“They can’t deny admission on less marks. The complainant should contact me,” he added.
