Sagar reiterates govt’s commitment for HR tolerance

Jammu, Dec 11: The Minister for Rural Development, Panchayats, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Muhammad Sagar today reiterated the government’s commitment to zero tolerance for human rights violation in the State.
Interacting with a group of media persons, he said the incidents of human rights violations were negligible in the present regime.
The government has spelled its policy on human rights and the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has dispelled the doubts about it on the floor of the Assembly during the Budget session, he added. He said that protecting life and property of the people was priority of the coalition.
He said the government had initiated enquiries in some cases which had been completed.
