At a meeting with its president Rauf Tramboo in chair, the TAAK members lauded the department for its various initiatives to help tourism in Kashmir.
The meeting appreciated the department’s “clean up drive to make Kashmir tourism a hassle free travel for tourists by removing the touts, unprofessional guides and fake travel agencies.”
“TAAK hopes that the department will continue its drive in a sustained manner and identify the non-functional travel agencies who have no office and addresses and de-list them and making their names of public.”
TAAK also appreciated the department’s decision to re–classify the hotels and houseboats after making on spot assessment of these properties.
“This will not only boost the tourism to Kashmir but will also build the image of the service providers,” the meeting said.
