Education system pressurizing kids: Omar

Jammu, Dec 18: The chief minister, Omar Abdullah today said the education system had pressurized kids to achieve higher results in academics from their tender age.
“The competition for getting admission in good schools has shortened the childhood of a student which should receive our focus,” Omar said while addressing the Annual Day function of Jodhamal Public School here.
“This snatches the childhood from kids which we have to ensure while caring for their academics. As parents and educationists we have to evolve a system in which kids grow and develop both academically and as capable persons.”
He asked parents and teachers to work in unison in creating a bright future for the children.
The school principal, presented the annual report on the occasion.
