Khanqah-e-Sokhta seeks road, power transmission lines repair

Srinagar, June 13: The residents of Khanqah-e-Sokhta, Nawakadal in Shahr-e-Khaas have appealed the local MLA and concerned authorities to get the colony lanes, by-lanes and electric poles repaired at an earliest.
The residents said: "The dilapidated road causes immense inconvenience throughout the year.”
“During rains it worsens with waterlogging,” the locals said adding “On dry days billows of dust emanate affecting our health.”
“Due to dust we cannot keep our windows open,” they added.
Besides they said: "The electric poles have decayed and may collapse anytime.”
The power transmission system needs to be revamped, they added.
The residents appealed the authorities to look in to the matter at an earliest.
