Police hunts for accused

Jammu, June 13: A day after Police recovered the throat slit body of 10-year old Shalin Gupta from city outskirts here, the main accused, Davinder Singh, who was arrested along with his another accomplice Gagandeep Singh on Saturday revealed that three more persons were involved in the abduction and subsequent murder of the victim.
Police said that it had launched a manhunt and alerted all the police stations to nab the trio, wanted in the case. “A group of five youth are believed to be involved in the planning and execution of the plot out of which only two have been arrested so far”, a police officer told Greater Kashmir.
Meanwhile, locals of Nai Basti area once again attacked the house of the main accused on Sunday. An agitated mob reportedly smashed window panes and also tried to set the house on fire.
