Majlis reacts to CM statement
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar: The Majlis-i-Mashawarat Shopian Friday expressed anger over the recent statement of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah in which he said the Government had not received the CBI report into the Shopian case.
“The report was prepared on the directions of Government of India and State Government to shield the culprits,” the spokesman said. “The State Government and New Delhi has time and again disappointed Kashmiris by not taking any action in the cases where the Government machinery or troops were involved,” he said.
The Majlis vowed to continue its struggle to seek justice for rape and murder victims- teenager Asiya Jan and her sister-in-law Neelofar.
In a statement, he said the organization as well as the people of Kashmir supports the demand of victims’ family to book the culprits involved in the incident. “We will not give up till real culprits, shielded by the Government, are produced before people,” the spokesman said.
