Amirakadal constituency ignored during previous regime : MLA

Srinagar, Dec 25: The Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, on Friday laid foundation stone of a Community Hall at Rawath Pora on the City outskirts.
 An official handout said the facility was being constructed at a cost of Rs  Rs 35.75 lakhs.
 In his address, Tara said, the government had instructed all the concerned agencies to utilize the fund of Rs 5500 crore in full released by the Central Government for current financial year for development projects in the state.
 The Deputy Chief Minister said the state government would complete all those projects taken in hand across the state.
 Tara said the government would provide all basic amenities to the people living in congested areas of the cities.
 “For this purpose,” he said, “four projects were on the anvil for the congested areas and the expenditure in this behalf will be borne by the government.”
 The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Nasir Sogami said the government was committed for the equitable development of all the three regions of the state.
 Sogami said his Assembly constituency, Amirakadal, would be developed on priority basis.
 He accused the previous regime of neglecting the area.
 The City Mayor, Salman Ali Sagar also spoke on the occasion. Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Mehraj Ahmed Kakroo, Commissioner, SMC Tufail Matoo and other officers were also present on the occasion.
