5 BSF troopers injured

GK NEWS NETWORK

Jammu, Dec 26: At least five paramilitary BSF personnel were wounded in a powerful explosion near the international border at Hiranagar in Kathua district.
“The explosion occurred at around 0915 hours this morning when a BSF patrolling party was marching near border outpost of Mangu Chak in Hiranagar sector,” a BSF official said.
“It was not immediately known whether the explosion occurred due to an Improvised Explosive Device or a landmine. It could be a handiwork of militants as the realignment of fencing is going on in the area,” he added.
Pertinently, on November 16, DIG BSF O P Tanwar was killed and two other BSF men were injured in a powerful IED blast near the Indo-Pak border at Ballad Post in Samba sector.
