Shabir Shah faces hostile crowd in Pulwama
GK NEWS NETWORK
Pulwama, Dec 4: Chairman Democratic Freedom Party Shabir Ahmad Shah had to face hostile crowd here as people raised slogans against ‘quiet dialogue’ between Hurriyat (M) and Centre.
Eyewitnesses said as he stepped out of the Jamia Masjid and addressed the gathering outside the Masjid, people shouted pro-Geelani and anti-Hurriyat (M) slogans.
They said Shah wasn’t allowed to address the gathering for long time. “And it was only after he shouted slogans in support of Geelani that he was allowed to address them,” eye-witnesses said.
Later addressing the gathering, Shabir Shah said any solution to Kashmir under Indian constitution won’t be accepted and no one would be allowed to sabotage the movement.
Rejecting Centre’s offer of “quiet talks” on Kashmir, Shah said the long standing issue could be resolved only through tripartite talks under the supervision of United Nations or an impartial country.
“Kashmir is an issue concerning the future of 1.30 crore people. It could be resolved only through tripartite talks in the light of U N Resolutions under the watchful eyes of the world body or impartial country,” he added.
