Jammu, Dec 29: The Minister for Industries and Commerce,   S.S. Slathia,  who is also Chairman of J&K Cements Ltd. today reviewed the performance of the company for the current financial year. He was briefed in detail about working of the Company both in production and financial achievements health.
 The Minister emphasized on the management of the Company to re-double their efforts to ensure sustained growth in production and profitability of the Company. He insisted for putting in extra efforts in achieving the targets fixed for the current year.
 Referring to the potential for its expansion, the Minister asked the Management to broad base the activities of the company. He said having the distinction of  being a viable government undertaking, JK Cements Ltd. should expand its scope to ensure maximum dividends. The Minister directed the Managing Director to convene Board of Directors meeting immediately for reviewing the performance of the Company in detail and to device future strategies of the Company.
  The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to Government Industries and Commerce, Managing Director J&K Cements Ltd, besides, the other officers of Industries and Commerce and J&K Cements Limited.
