No streetlights in Madeen Sahib
MUHARRAM ARRANGEMENTS
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Dec 8: The residents of Madeen Sahib in Shahr-e-Khaas have appealed the Srinagar Municipal Corporation to install streetlights in the area for the upcoming Muharram.
The locals said they face inconvenience in moving out in the evening hours.
Referring to the Shabs observed during the Muharram, the locals said they would find it inconvenient to move at night.
Referring to the installation of streetlights in many areas of Srinagar by the SMC, the residents appealed the City Mayor, Salman Ali Sagar to install streetlights in their area as well.
“Rather than visiting our area with a symbolic promise of installing streetlights, the Mayor should visit us only to see for himself that the lights have been installed,” they said.
They also appealed that lights be installed around the Madeen Sahib shrine.
