Srinagar, July 29: Writers need to play an effective role in society and keep aspirations of people in mind, Justice (retd) Bashir Ahmad Kirmani said on Wednesday.

He said this on the occasion of a book release function organized by Ahad Zargar Memorial Research Foundation, Srinagar.
The book titled Khabar tug Mu Dapun by noted Kashmiri writer and poet Zarief Ahmad Zarief was released in the auditorium of Radio Kashmir.
