CM’s statement

I was impressed to hear the statement of the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, that “Army was pursuing double-standards in Kashmir.” It is really shameful that the Services Team stayed away from playing the Ranjhi Trophy in Kashmir, citing security reasons. On one hand, India is making tall claims that situation in Kashmir is normal, but on the other, Army is blasting such claims. India must make it clear as to what is the “real situation” in Kashmir. Meanwhile, the JKCA chairman, Dr Farooq Abdullah, has rightly banged New Delhi for pursuing double-standards in Kashmir. The Chief Minister and Dr Abdullah must take up the matter with New Delhi. The Government of India must probe the matter and see if there is more to it than meets an eye.
