Compensation for fire affected Doonga owner

Srinagar, Nov 11: The administration on Wednesday sanctioned a plot for the family whose Doonga was gutted in Chuntkul area of Dal lake on Tuesday evening.
 The Divisional Commissioner, Naseema Lanker was promoted to respond following appeal by the Houseboat Owners Association. Meanwhile, the chairman of Houseboat Owners Association, Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo on Wednesday thanked the Divisional Commissioner for extending help to the affected family.
 In a statement, Wangnoo said responding to the HBOA’s appeal, the Divisional Commissioner immediately sanctioned plot to the affected family. “On behalf of houseboat owners, I extend gratitude to the Divisional Commissioner for the speedy action,” Wangnoo said. 
 Meanwhile, people from different walks of life expressed sympathies with the Doonga owner Bashir Ahmad Badyari and his family.
