Hospitals asked to start central heating early

Srinagar, Nov 11: Prompted by the Greater Kashmir report that despite early arrival of winter, patients at City hospitals were shivering with cold as the authorities had decided to stick to the prescribed November 15 date to start central heating, the divisional commissioner, Naseema Lanker, on Wednesday directed the hospitals to start the  heaters.
 An official handout said: “Keeping in view the prevailing cold wave and in the interest of providing proper patient care, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir has directed that Central Heating System in Associated Hospitals of Srinagar under Principal Govt Medical College and heating arrangements in Hospitals under Director Health Services Kashmir, should be started, with immediate effect.”
