8 die in AJK mishap

Muzaffarabad, Nov 15: Eight members of a family were killed Sunday when a vehicle in which they were travelling skidded off the road near Kahoti near Hamadani Chowk, some 15 kilometers from here.
Witnesses said the vehicle, which was on its way to Batal Shash, where the family had to attend a marriage ceremony, while negotiating a curve fell into 200 feet deep gorge.
Four women, one child, and the driver of the Jeep died on the spot. Two of the injured were shifted to CMH hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
The dead have been identified as Raja Tanveer, Raja Parvez Khan, Masarat Bibi, Naseema Begum, Iram Khan, Rifat Bibi, Wasi Adnan, Waqar Khan and Noseya.
