SIT seeks Choudhary brothers’ custody

Jammu, Nov 18: The Special Investigating Team constituted in the Amandeep murder case today filed an application before the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Jammu, B L Bhat, for the custody of Choudhary Nagar Singh alias Nago, Jagar Singh and Rakesh Singh for investigation in case FIR 247/2009 registered with its Gandhi Nagar police station.
The judge adjourned the case till tomorrow for further arguments.
Earlier, the Court had issued non-bailable warrants against Choudhary brothers for securing their presence in the case.
On Tuesday, the CJM, Jammu, rejected the application for police custody and sent the Choudhary brother to judicial lock-up till November 25, with the direction that the accused be produced on that date before the Court of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Jammu, from where the arrest warrants had been issued.
