Kashmir Inc shows commitment to CSR

Srinagar, Nov 5: Showing commitment to social cause, the relief trust of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries today distributed relief cheques among the orphan students of SP College and Government College for Women M. A Road, here today.
The trust gave away Rs 2000 each to 27 students including 17 from SP College to help them buy books, stationery and other accessories.
Chairman of the Trust, Mohammad Ibrahim Shahdab on the occasion said the main aim of providing the relief to the students was to ensure their empowerment. “I believe that the proper education is the only means by which we can empower these orphan students so that they will be able to take the challenges of the life,” he said.
He advised the students they should take full pains to acquire the proper education. “Being orphan should not discourage you. You should take your life as a challenge. Knowledge is the only power that will help you to overcome and confront this challenge,” he said.
Altaf Tramboo, Executive Member of the Trust said: “We have established the relief trust to help the poor and needy. And our priority is always the deserving students.”
