Srinagar, Oct 5: In the news item “PET selections for Kashmir districts” published on front page in this newspaper on Monday, the candidates shown selected against the posts of Physical Education Teachers have in fact been short listed for interview.
 The rest of the report is based on facts and supported by the relevant data. Even at the short listing stage, the selection process seems to be heavily tilted towards Jammu region, although the vacancies to be filled up are in the district cadres of five valley districts.
 GK regrets the inadvertent error and the inconvenience to its esteemed readers.
