Jammu, Oct 5: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla has said that coalition government led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was making all out efforts to provide the basic amenities to displaced families of Kashmir valley residing in migrants camps by providing drinking water, health, education, power, road connectivity and multi purpose hall facilities to them.
 This was stated by the Minister while inspecting the ongoing development work of multi purpose hall, to be completed at a cost of Rs 30 lakh by Relief Commissioner office.
 Relief Commissioner Relief (M) Vinod Koul, Executive Engineers of PHE, PDD and other senior officers of Relief and Rehabilitation accompanied the Minister.
 Addressing the gathering, Bhalla said that for safe return and proper rehabilitation of Kashmiri Migrants in Kashmir valley, the centre government has approved a package of Rs. 1618.40 crore. He said that the government is fully aware of Kashmiri migrants’ problems and making concerted efforts to solve these problems.
 Responding to the demands of Kashmiri migrants, the Minister announced Rs. 5 lakh for construction of Pre-Fabricated Hall on the identified land in Muthi Camp. He asked the executing agency to start the work so that the displaced families could arrange ceremonial functions as well as other functions there. He said that a proposal for enhancement of relief and relaxation of age limit of un-employed youths of the Kashmiri migrants also submitted to GOI for necessary action.
 Bhalla inspected the facilities being provided to the displaced families in Muthi camp. He interacted with the inhabitants of camp and listen to their problems.
 The Minister also paid a surprise visit to Government Primary Health Centre Muthi Camp, Jammu and found the medical and paramedical staff were away from their work places and not attending their duties properly. He asked them to remain present in the hospital and provide best possible medicare facilities to patients and live up to the expectations of the people.
 Earlier, Bhalla visited Sanjay Nagar Extension and Marakhari Mohalla, K  C Colony Lane No. 1 and laid foundation stone of 400 meter long lanes and drains work, completed at a cost of Rs. 8.80 lakh by R&B department. He directed the engineers to immediately start the development works there for the benefit of all sections of the society. He said that development is a priority sector of the government. He revealed that there is no constrain of funds. He informed that instructions were already issued to engineers to maintain/develop all the entire lanes, drains, by-lanes besides upgradation of roads of three regions of the state. For this purpose, the centre government has provided liberal funding to the state for completing the ongoing projects within stipulated time frame.
 Later, he visited Government Mixed Higher Secondary School, Muthi Camp where camp and non-camp students have education in different classes. He asked the teacher fraternity to provide quality education to students so that they become a good citizen of the country.
 Regarding construction of play ground, additional examination hall and Laboratory on identified proposed land opp. Government Mixed Higher Secondary School, Muthi Camp, Jammu, he asked the Relief Commissioner (M) to prepare the estimate and submitted for funding so that the construction works of these would be started soon.
