CBI roped in to shield Shopian culprits: DeM
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar: Commenting on the referral of Shopian double rape and murder case to CBI, the Dukhtaran-e-Milat chief, Syeda Asiya Andrabi, Wednesday termed it ruse by the government to shield the culprits.
“Whenever the government in Jammu Kashmir, be that National Conference, Congress or Peoples’ Democratic Party, is caught in an embarrassing situation, the CBI is roped in as an investigating agency to put a cover on the facts and save the government officials involved in the crime,” said Andrabi, according to DeM statement issued today
“In 2006, when government saw that from ordinary peon to top brass bureaucra, from ordinary constable to I G police and high rank army officer, and from a councilor to top political leader, were involved in the sex scandal, it referred the case to the CBI, which played a vital role in removing the evidence and hushing the case. Same has happened with the Shopian double rape and murder case and the government is trying to save the armed forces involved in it by referring the case to the CBI,” she added.
Andrabi has urged all the Kashmiris in general and the people of Shopian in particular not to ‘waste their time after these investigations and reports and never take them as credible.’ “The liberation of Kashmir from Indian control is the way to preclude the occurrence of such shameful incidents,” she said.
