CM calls on Governor

Srinagar, Oct 7: The chief minister, Omar Abdullah, called on the governor, N N Vohra, here on Wednesday, an official spokesman said.
 He said the governor and the chief minister discussed various important issues relating to the socio-economic development and security of the state.
 The chief minister, according to the spokesman, briefed the governor about the recently concluded District Development and Planning Board meetings, the outcome of his meeting with the high level central team led by the cabinet secretary, issues relating to the Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Programme Phase II, elections to Panchayats and urban local government bodies and other matters. He also apprised the governor about evolving approach to exploitation of power resources and other development projects.
