CU issue

This refers to the controversy over the location of Central University. Now that Government of India has decided to have two varsities in Jammu and Kashmir, it must quickly identify the sites and start constructing the basic infrastructure. While identifying the sites, the government must keep in mind the availability of transport to the area. it is important that the varsities should be easily accessible by the students and teachers. The CU authorities must also speed up the process of appointing the faculty members, both teaching and non-teaching. Let the CU emerge as a vibrant academic institution with good infrastructure than a mere show of buildings.
