JK Bank pays Rs 43 crore dividend to govt

Srinagar, Oct 7: Chairman J&K Bank Dr Haseeb Drabu today presented two cheques amounting to Rs 43.56 crore on account of dividend to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for 2008-09.
Commissioner secretary, Finance, Sudhanshu Pandey and officers of the J&K Bank were present on the occasion.
Dr Drabu on the occasion said that since its inception the J&K Bank gas paid cumulative dividends of Rs 243.25 crore to the state.
He said the total dividends paid by the bank to its share holders since its inception amounted to Rs. 419.53 crore.
To mention the total dividends declared for 2008-09 are of the order of Rs 81.93 crore and the percentage of the dividend paid is 169.
