Selection of receptionists in Tourism deptt challenged
Jammu: Justice Virender Singh of J&K High Court Jammu Wing has directed Service Selection Board to keep the selection list of receptionists in Tourism department issued on September 8, 2009 in open merit in abeyance.
In the petition in which Adv Seema Shekhar appeared for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner Neema Bhat applied for the post of receptionists (state cadre) in tourism dept for which advertisement notice No 6 of 2005 was issued. The petitioner post-graduate in tourism, certificate in French language and also three years diploma in tourism management wasn’t figuring in the provisional select list. The petitioner asserts that as per her qualification she should figure at serial No 2.
Justice Singh after hearing the arguments issued notice to the respondents returnable within two weeks and till further orders to keep list in abeyance. (JNF)
