VHP demands abrogation of Article 370

Jammu, Oct 7: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad today demanded immediate abrogation of Article 370, which guarantees special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
 “This article has brought havoc for the country both from within and outside with handful of separatist and anti-national elements dictating the central leadership their nefarious designs and the outside foreign powers constantly blackmailing India to the hilt,” state VHP president Ramakant Dubey told reporters here.
 Giving Jammu and Kashmir a separate constitution has squarely amounted to creating a nation within a nation, he said.
 “If Kashmir is an integral part of India like Mumbai, Orissa, Bihar or Karnatka, what was the necessity of incorporating article 370 for Kashmir only,” the VHP leader questioned.
