Democratic Liberation Party concerned at detainees’ plight

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar: Expressing serious concern over the plight detainees in jails, the Democratic Liberation Party (DLP) chairman, Hashim Qureshi, alleged that they (detainees) were not being provided medical and other facilities.
In a statement, Hashim said, “Due to the denial of medical and other facilities in jails, most of the detainees have developed various ailments.”  He alleged that the jail authorities were not presenting the detainees in courts on due dates thereby ignoring the court orders.
