29 employees suspended in Poonch

Jammu, Sept 2: Twenty-nine government officials, including three class-I officers, were suspended today for unauthorized absence from duty in bordering Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources here said.
Acting on the directions of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sub-District Magistrate (SDM) Mendhar Mukhtar Ahmad Choudhary today conducted surprise visit to various government offices in Hill Kaka, Surankote, Taranwali and Marah under his jurisdiction and ordered suspension of 29 employees pending inquiry, official sources told UNI.
Those who were found absent from the duty included three class-I employees, including a doctor.
They were identified as Horticulture Development Officer Mumtaz Hussain, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Bafliaz, H L Bhagat and Dr Vikas Sharma, posted at Primary Health Centre, Bafliaz, sources said.
