Commr Secy halts vandalization of Kralsangri heights

Srinagar, Sept 2: Commissioner/Secretary Housing and Urban Development, Abdul Hamid on Wednesday in a surprise visit observed large scale vandalization of precious Kralsangri heights just adjacent to internationally reputed Turlip garden, an official handout said.
 Hamid found that construction activities of making roads and private colony were in full swing without knowledge of concerned authorities and the government.
 He immediately directed for a halt on all the activities on the Kralsangri heights in the green belt.
 “He found that some private agency has got blank permission of 28 huts in the area which he will be personally investigating and would submit the report to Deputy Chief Minister,” the handout added.
 The Vice Chairman, Lakes and Water Ways Development Authority (LWDA), Irfan Yaseen, Vice Chairman Srinagar Development authority(SDA) Kifayat Rizvi, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Tufail Mattoo, Director Local Bodies Srinagar, Abas Ahmed and concerned Engineers also accompanied the  Commissioner/Secretary Housing.
