Amitabh Mattoo is President IAIS

New Delhi: Professor Amitabh Mattoo, Professor of International Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University and member of National Knowledge Commission, will be the first President of the Indian Association of International Studies (IAIS). Professor Mattoo was appointed President at the inaugural function of IAIS at New Delhi which was presided over by Vice President M. Hamid Ansari.
 Speaking on the occasion, Ansari complimented Professor Mattoo as a visionary thinker and a great institution builder, and he believed that improving the research of international relations in India was the need of the hour and there was no better person than Prof Mattoo to lead the organization at this juncture.
