Murder of democracy: Er Rasheed

Jammu, Apr 9: Independent MLA from Langate, Engineer Abdul Rashid Sheikh on Friday said the government has murdered democracy by passing the inter-district recruitment bill, in its amended form in the legislative assembly.
“The inter-district recruitment bill was unconstitutionally passed in the Lower House”, he said adding; “We strongly condemn the way and the shape in which the Bill was passed in the House”.
“They (government) are strengthening regional imbalance and fuelling alienation”, he said.
Referring to the strike call by the BJP, the independent MLA alleged that the BJP legislators are only strengthening hands of those creating trouble in valley.
