Kupwara: A boy was killed when he slipped into a stream here at Batpora on Saturday
 Reports said the deceased, Mehraj-ud-din Malik, a 12th class student of Government Higher Secondary School Halmatpora was killed when he slipped from a wooden shack into the stream. Pall of gloom descended the village when his body reached there. This is the second incident of drowning in this frontier district during the past two weeks. On March 26, Nazir Ahmad Sheikh son of Rehman Sheikh of Bhatgund Handwara had drowned in Mawar nallah.
