BSF shoots man in Ramgarh

Jammu, Apr 12: A man was shot dead by the Border Security Force personnel when he was crossing over into Indian Territory from Balarh Post in Ramgarh sector near border fence of Samba district.
Sources told Greater Kashmir “The BSF killed the person, who tried to sneak into this side from Pakistan side at Balarh Post in Ramgarh Sector.”
While observing some suspicious movement near the fence at Balarh post, “the BSF men warned him. When he ignored the warning, troopers opened fire killing him on the spot,” source said.
“Later, they (BSF) retrieved body of a youth which was lying near the fencing. The body was shifted to the nearby hospital for post mortem and identification,” source said, adding, search in the areas immediately launched after his killing. A case in this connection has been registered at the concerned police station.
Trooper dies after falling into gorge
In Poonch, a trooper died after he slipped into a gorge during patrolling near the LoC in Balakote sector of Poonch district, police said here today.
Lance Naik Virender Singh of 39 Rashtriya Rifle (RR) slipped into the gorge when a party of troops was patrolling Balakote sector.
