Siah is prez TASK

Srinagar, Apr 12: Ghulam Rasool Siah, managing director Prince Tours, has become the new president of Travel Agents Society of Kashmir. Siah was today elected by TASK executive committee.
The executive committee elections of the TASK had been conducted on Saturday where eleven members to the committee had been elected.
Besides Siah, the committee today elected other three members namely Nazeer Ahmad Gosani as vice president, Abdul Hameed Narwari as secretary and Abdul Rahman as treasurer.
At its AGM the TASK had invited minister for tourism N R Jora, MoS Tourism Nasir Aslam Wani and director tourism Farooq Shah.
The members at the AGM apprised the ministers and director tourism about many problems they face.
“We discussed the issue of permits to new vehicles, high rates being charged by some hotels, and the inconvenience being faced by tour operators on account of getting the permits at the airport to receive the tourists,” said a member of the TASK.
He said the director tourism assured the members that their problems would be addressed.
The TASK distributed awards at the AGM acknowledging contribution of different organizations and persons in tourism and other fields.
Chaya bags TASK award
Noted hotelier Mushtaq Ahmad Chayya bagged TASK award for best service provider in hotel segment.
The award to Chayya came in recognition of his best services in hotel segment.
Chayya has a range of star hotels in and outside the state including one each at Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Srinagar and Jammu.
