Malik to stage sit-in
GK NEWS NETWORK
Sopur, Apr 14: The Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, on Wednesday said that he along with other JKLF activists would stage a sit-in at Srinagar on Saturday against “forcible drowning” of Zubair Ahmed Bhat.
“We have decided to stage a dharna in city on April 17 to attract the attention of civil society towards the teenager’s barbaric killing and to express solidarity with people of this town who have suffered immensely during past 20 years,” Malik said while addressing mourners at Jamia Qadeem here.
“Our children are becoming victims of state oppression. Government should refrain from using force on the peaceful protests,’ he said.
Malik said that it was the responsibility of the people to take movement to its logical end.
Malik earlier visited Zubair’s family and expressed solidarity with them.
