Omar condoles demise

Jammu, Apr 14: Expressing grief over the demise of Islamic scholar Dr Israr Ahmad, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has said that his death has created a vacuum in the scholars’ fraternity of the world.
Chief Minister said that Dr Israr was well known Islamic scholar and had acquired a treasure of knowledge during his lifetime. He said the contribution of Dr Israr was of great significance because he inculcated the real spirit of Islam and concept of brotherhood and peace through his teaching during his lifetime.
 “His pious, sincere and truthful style of delivering the real Islamic knowledge to people at large had received an acclaim and appreciation from the nook and corner of the world,” Omar said and added that his holy recitation of Quran-e-Sharief had no parallel in present time.
 Omar prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
