Srinagar, Apr 15:The Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Ali Muhammad Sagar Thursday toured Shahr-eKhaas area of the City to take a stock of developmental works in Kalashpora, Zainakadal and Maharaj Gunj areas.
The Minister was accompanied by senior officers during his tour to these areas.
An official handout quoting Sagar said Rs. 3.68 crore would be utilised for the rehabilitation of those families whose residential houses are to be cleared off due to road widening of Zainakadal and Maharaj Gunj areas.
The Minister also took stock of construction work on community Hall at Zaina Kadal coming up at a cost of Rs. 2 crore.
He was informed that on Marriage Hall, which would be the first of its kind in Srinagar city, being constructed by R&B department at a total cost of Rs. 1.25 crore, out of which Rs. 90 lakh have been expended till date. The Minister was informed that the community hall will be equipped with all latest facilities including two main halls, children room, kitchen, bathrooms and a separate room for guards and watchman.
Sagar met with the deputation at Kalashpora and was apprised about the demands and problems confronting to the local people of the area. He assured them that their genuine demands would be looked into.
