Bunking off menace

The other day, I saw many of my acquaintances bunking off from their school and coaching classes just for petty amusements. But then this wasn’t an exception for skipping educational classes has become a routine in the City.
Many teenagers bunk off and roam around in areas like Baghat Barzulla, Residency Road bund and Dal lake banks during daytime.
As about the Barzulla and adjoining areas on the Airport Road where we have most of the coaching centres, the belt has now become a hub of immoral activities. Most of those who bunk off go to play snooker, while others can be seen around at tea stalls, internet parlours and roaming outside coaching centres.
Parents of students should be in touch with tutors and school authorities so that they know what their loved ones do when they are out for “studies”.
These teenagers slowly but surely are spoiling their future. It is need of the hour that the students are taught moral values and only then they can have a secure future. The future of a nation is strong only when the students have an awakened conscience and can differentiate between right and wrong.
The police and education departments should also rise to the situation and take strict action against the spoilt lot by putting checks of sorts.
The education department should from flying squads to find out such erring lot and accordingly inform their parents.
Let’s not forget that Romana, the teenager was crushed to death past year on the Airport Road by two Alto borne eve-teasers. So we need to wake up and tame the erring before it’s too late.
