Hill View Honda opens counter in Srinagar

Srinagar, Apr 16: The Hill View Honda, authorized dealers of Honda Siel Cars India Ltd (HSCI), Friday opened a counter here.
The counter, first in the Valley by the company, is in 7-Square Shopping Complex at Hyderpora Bypass, here. It has already a functional showroom in Jammu since 2008.
“We had been getting tremendous response from the Valley, so we thought we should open a booking counter in Srinagar as well, so that customers do not face any inconvenience,” Avinash Kumar, sales manager, Hill View Honda, told Greater Kashmir.
“Many people find it quite difficult to bring cars from Jammu to Srinagar, since Jammu is 300 kilo meters from this place. So for the benefit of the customers, we have opened this booking counter,” he said.
He said the company had already got 400 to 500 customer base in Srinagar, who have also been getting services for their cars. “Kashmiri people are usually fond of big cars. We reached here only yesterday and we have already made five bookings,” Kumar said, adding that they were expecting even better a response from the Valley.
He said the customers booking cars at the counter shall get delivery from here. “For now we have kept two cars at display, but we are expecting some more cars,” he said.
He said the company in collaboration with some banks like J&K Bank and HDFC Bank shall hold road shows here to promote their product.
Kumar said the company holds a camp for four days every month in the Valley, wherein they provide services to the customers as per policies of the company. This month the camp is being held from April 19 to 22 at Parimpora Bypass here, he said.
The company’s product range includes Honda Jazz, Honda City, Honda Civic, Honda Accord and CR-V.
“Honda’s models are said to possess advanced design and technology, besides its established qualities of durability, reliability and fuel-efficiency,” said Kumar.
HSCI’s first manufacturing unit was set up at Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in 1997. The company has got a strong sales and distribution network spread across the country. The network includes 117 facilities in 70 cities, officials said.
Among other present on the occasion were Nazir A Dar, president Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and other senior members of KCCI.
