Shahr-e-Khaas traders hail Government

Srinagar, Apr 16: All Kashmir Traders Federation Shahr-e-Khas Zaina Kadal has hailed the government for promising to develop various areas of Old City, including Zaina Kadal and Maharaj Gunj.
In a statement, the Federation’s president, Nazir Ahmad Shah and general secretary, Omar Gani thanked Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats and local MLA , Ali Muhammad Sagar for taking personal interest in development of Shahr-e-Khas and expediating the process of rehabilitation of the families whose residential houses are to be cleared off due to road widening of Zainakadal and Maharaj Gunj areas.
“We hope that Government will continue to undertake developmental actitivies to restore the glory of Shahr-e-Khas. We will extend all cooperation to the Government in this endeavour,” they said.
Pertinently Sagar on Thursday had toured Shahr-eKhaas area of the City to take a stock of developmental works in Kalashpora, Zainakadal and Maharaj Gunj areas.
The Federation also appealed the chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Dr Haseeb Drabu to ensure credit of Anywhere cheques in other states.
The traders said the initiative would boost their business though “better transaction throughout the country.”
