SMS fiasco a drama: PDP
Srinagar, Apr 16: Terming decision of the government to impose and later revoke ban on SMS services as drama to befool the gullible masses of the state, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday said, “ It was enacted by the National Conference led coalition only to improve its image.”
“This regime has lost its credibility so government has been enacting such dramas to befool the people”, a PDP spokesman said while reacting to imposition of ban on SMS and later revocation of the same within minutes.
“Since its formation this regime has done nothing to address aspirations of the people. The government seems to be more concerned about adopting tactics to divert attentions of the people,” the spokesman alleged.
“It is strange that Chief Minister on the one hand claimed that ban was imposed without his knowledge and within minutes he claimed that ban has revoked due to his protest,” he added.
The PDP spokesman condemned such tactics. “The government should realize the ground situation and address grievances of the people seriously rather than enacting such dramas,” he added.
