Dantewada aftermath

This refers to the article titled “Dantewada aftermath” by Uday Shankar (G.K `3-04-10). The author deserves appreciation for writing so lucidly about the Naxalism and Kashmir issues. Indeed Indian leadership seems insensitive towards the problems of both Naxalas and Kashmiris. Though both issues are varying in nature, but handling them by military might is not the answer. Given the Kashmir issue, much trumpeted “Quite Dialogue” couldn’t yield any substantial results and the issue is still lingering for the past 63 years. The past twenty years of turmoil have consumed lakhs of people and tens of thousands got maimed in gory game of killing. One can only hope that good sense prevails upon the leadership to settle down the issues of Naxalism and Kashmir in larger interest of poor. The author has rightly said that “no problem is born without solution.”
