Demise of Mirwaiz’s mother-in-law mourned

Srinagar, Apr 1: Various political, religious and social organizations have condoled the demise of the mother-in-law of Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
Mirwaiz’s mother-in-law and wife of Dr Sibtain Masoodi passed away on Wednesday at her Sanat Nagar residence here.
The Pakistan foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, expressed deep sorrow over the.
In his message addressed to Mirwaiz, he said, “I am grieved to learn about the demise of your mother-in-law. I pray to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give you and your family members the courage to bear this irreparable loss (Ameen).”
The Peoples Democratic Party also condoled the demise. In a statement the party said, its president Mehbooba Mufti spoke to Mirwaiz and his wife Begum Sheba on phone to convey her personal condolences.
JK Mahaz-e-Azadi, at a condolence meeting here with Mir Muhammad Iqbal in chair, expressed sorrow over the demise and prayed for the deceased.
The Shahr-e-Khas Welfare and Development Coordination Committee president, Muhammad Yaqoob Vakil, while expressing sorrow over the demise, prayed for the peace to departed soul. He expressed solidarity with the family.
The Tehreek-e-Wahahdat-e-Islami general secretary, Nisar Hussain Rather sympathized with the bereaved.
A delegation of Democratic Freedom Party let by its acting chairman, Moulana Muhammad Abdullah Tari visited the residence of deceased and sympathized with the bereaved. The members offered special prayers for the deceased.
JK Peoples’ Political Front vice-chairman, Muhammad Musadiq Adil and Muttaheda Majlis –e-Ulema also expressed solidarity with the bereaved.
Coordinator AAKS, Youth Congress Irfan Naqib expressed sorrow over the demise.
