Family seeks judicial probe

Kupwara, Apr 19: The family of 70- year-old beggar allegedly killed in fake encounter by troops has demanded judicial inquiry into his killing.
“We appeal the state government to order a judicial inquiry in the killing of my father for no crime of his,” said Raj Muhammad Khan, son of Habibullah Khan.
He said his father was not a militant and he was not involved in any subversive activity.
Khan body was handed over to police on Wednesday by the Army claiming that he was an unidentified foreign militant killed in gunfight with troops in Peheldaji forests of Magam area.
