20 farmers go on study tour

Srinagar, Apr 20: Under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, a group of twenty farmers from Valley went on a study tour to Jammu today.
The group was flagged off by Director Agriculture Kashmir Mian Abdul Majeed at TRC yard, here.
“Farmers shall be visiting Agriculture Department Farms, Research Stations and SKUAST Jammu to get themselves familiarized with the latest technologies,” the department in a statement said.
On the occasion the Director Agriculture said the government was very committed to uplift the farming community in the state.
“This visit by farmers shall provide them opportunity to interact with their counterparts, scientists, experts, etc and learn about new technology in the farm sector,” he said.
