Wajahat to chair crucial BoD meet

Srinagar, Apr 21: The Chief Information Commissioner, Wajahat Habibullah would arrive here Thursday from New Delhi to chair a crucial meeting at the National Institute of Technology Srinagar in wake of the alleged mishandling of academic and administrative affairs at the varsity.
 Sources told Greater Kashmir that Habibullah would arrive here Thursday and the Board of Directors which is headed by him would meet on Friday to examine overall academic and administrative status in the institute.  
 “The allegation about the illegal appointment in the institute made by some teachers would be on top of the agenda for the meeting,” sources said.
 Confirming that the BOD would meet on Friday, Wajahat told Greater Kashmir over phone from New Delhi that the meeting would look into the complaints by some teachers (about illegal appointments). Besides, he said the BOD meets every quarterly to review the functioning of the institute.
