Militants, troopers exchange fire

Srinagar, Apr 22: Militants and troopers exchanged fire in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district last night, a local news agency KMN reported on Thursday. It said militants came face to face with troopers near Damal Hanjipora. “Both the sides exchanged fire for sometime. The gunfight ended without causing any damage to either side,” the news agency said.
It said before fleeing away militants hurled a grenade which exploded near a residential house. “The house was damaged due to the impact of the explosion,” the agency added.
