Cops return Bengal tourist’s fat purse

  Srinagar, Apr 24: The Traffic police constables on duty at Mehjoor Chowk (formerly Pantha Chowk) picked up a fat purse carrying two mobiles, some jewellery and cash.
 The cops informed the seniors who through the mobile phones got to know about the identity of it’s owner.
 It belonged to a tourist from West Bengal, Preeti Shanker presently holidaying in Srinagar. Official said she was called to the Traffic Police office at Polo View to get back her bag.
 The tourist appreciated the honesty of the cops.
 A senior official said the cops have been awarded with certificate of appreciation.
